Purgatory Park and Qigong

on 5/03/2010

Hey, what's up, Yesterday, I went to the Purgatory Creek Park with a friend. The park is located off Bishop rd. in San Marcos. My friend and I hiked the trail for about an hour. We came to this really open spot so we decided to chill and enjoy the scenery with some cigars. It was really refreshing to get outdoors and to enjoy the nice day. There were some badass mountain bikers out there as well. I saw some cool bugs and heard and smelled some really cool things. Here are some pictures and video from it.

LATER THAT DAY............................................................................

After the park, I went to this Qigong (chee-gong) class. The instructor explained that through channeling your energy correctly, you are able to defend yourself and utilize the energy to block hits and essentially build a barrier between you and whatever force might impact your body.

According to the brochure, Qigong "is a potent internal energy system that fully integrates the body, mind and energy through the careful application of physical practice, meditation and herbs". A 73 year-old lady busted a ceramic tile over her head, with ease. We did an exercise that consisted of patting our entire body to get the energy flowing through our body and an undeniable "buzz" came over me. My hands tingled. It was pretty cool.

Apparently, there are different levels to the training and Goldern Shield Qigong is the first one. It focuses on the lower dan-tien (energy center). After getting to the some of the higher levels, your hands are considered weapons.

It's nice to think that humans are capable of more than what we think. It's almost like it's time for us to evolve. Crazy.

facebook and the mind lounge

on 5/01/2010

Hey what's up,

I've been busy trying to tweak this site for the best possible effect. I have been looking through some cool pictures trying to capture the ideal look for this Mind Lounge I'm building.

The Mind Lounge is essentially a digital lounge to project your mind to. No it's not really a place in the woods, with a sofa but with these visuals, you can take your mind off of the room around you and picture yourself somewhere different, foreign, and most importantly, relaxing.

If I ever work somewhere later in life, I wouldn't mind working for Facebook. This isn't because I love stalking people and would like to do it for a living. I would purely want to work there because of it's new cool office. Check it out.

I'm not a plagiariser so here is the original link that I got this the pictures from. http://www.home-designing.com/2009/08/facebooks-new-cool-office. So yeah, basically this would be one cool ass place to work due to the fact that you can cruise around on your bike everywhere. I think this is a genius idea because there are so many studies that deal with the mental energy wasted while staring at a computer screen. When you are riding around in the office, this gives you a chance to re-energize. Facebook earned some brownie points in my book for this but I still hate the fact that I can't edit the layout of my page. More complaints later.

Giving credit where credit is due

on 4/30/2010

Hey whats up,

I owe a lot of the credit for my findings online to http://www.stumbleupon.com/ .This is one of the coolest programs ever created for the web. Here's how it works:
.Go to http://www.stumbleupon.com/

.Choose certain topics you are interested in

.Download the toolbar for your browser

.Click the Stumble button

.Stumble will bring up web sites based on your chosen topics and you can tell Stumble that you either like the site or didn't like it.

Stumble will bring up web sites which were already liked by others. This conveniently saves you the trouble of searching for a fun site with a Boolean Search Engine. Located below my sign off is a little Stumble button you can click on to put my blog on Stumble so it will pop-up for other people to see too. If you have a blog, I would do the same.

Aaaaaand another cool web site to check out is http://www.scroogle.org/. Use this if you don't like the idea of Google keeping on file EVERYTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEARCHED.

Things To Remember

on 4/29/2010

Hey, whats up.

I found this picture online. It made me feel good because the things that are listed on here really help form a conscious way of living life. If you go through your day and ultimately start having a bad one, a lot of the times one of these things can be applied.

I say these things online not only to share my thoughts, but also to remind myself as well. I feel that we all need to be there for each other and it's always good to kind of keep our thoughts in check, making sure they dont go astray to some stream of irrationality.

What to listen to?

on 4/28/2010

Hi,

"If I could rule the world, I would require people to actively seek out the music they listen to."

I feel like a lot of people neglect the right to listen to whatever they want. I wish that more people would actively seek out music instead of letting the mainstream radio stations, television stations and etc. pick it out. I am a firm believer in keeping a close watch on everything that goes into your body and that includes what goes into your ears.

I also think that all music should be free. If it is enjoyable to audiences, then they will have no problem paying the band's bills in other ways.

Vampire Weekend- Run

I really like this song because I could definitely see myself running to it. Check it out and go download the song if you like it.

Joyous Blogging

Hi,

I would just like to start by saying that whatever I post in any blog is not meant to offend or bother anyone in any way. This is just a place to record information, links, pictures, videos, music and anything else that brings me joy. In doing this, I hope that you can relate and enjoy the things on here that I post.

Come back around later and I'll have cool stuff posted to laugh at, smile at, watch, listen to and overall enjoy.
